The Palace of the Přemyslovec and the Cathedral of St.Václav [ Palace or residence ]
The basilica of St. Václav with three naves and wonderful inner decoration originated around 1100. In 1306 the last one of the Přemyslovec dynasty, Václav III, was murdered there. The Palace was founded in 1141. After the murder of the last one of the Přemyslovec dynasty, the sovreigns resignated to the chäteau and left it to bishops. In the 17th and 18th centuries further church buildings were built there.
