The village did not have its own emblem andĘ ensign. Only the oldest sealing of the village from 1736 from Carolina cadaster whose sealing picture symbolizes, in the middle obviously broad-leaved tree and on sides blossoms, a sealing used in official matters.Ę photo
On the proposal from the village it was compiled and by heraldry committee approved a new emblem and ensign of the village. In June 1998 it was given by Parliament of the Czech Republic and Chamber of deputies to the village Jakubčovice nad Odrou emblem and ensign.
Description of the emblem : in a blue shield silver wavy cross-bar, over it two golden roses with red ovaries, under it crossed beam gouges bottomed on with stone hammer, everything gold.
Description of the ensign: blue sheet with white horizontal wavy strip with four tops and five hollows wide one sixth of width of the sheet and distant one sixth of width of the sheet from the upper edge.OverĘ the strip crossed beam gouge bottomed on with upright stone hammer and guided on the sides by two roses, everything yellow, ovaries red.
Sign of the village emblem has the following symbolism: Two flossoms symbolize history of the village (overtaken from the village sealing), a wavy belt pictures the river Odra (Jakubčovice n/O is the first housing development on the river Odra from its source, name of the river is in the name of the village) and stone tools symbolize present (extensive multiple-terraced stone quarry with the largest mining in the republic and uninterrupted, more than centenary, activity).
Suggest of the emblem and ensign whose author is ing. Antonín Ondřej and discussed with director of the Earth archive in Opava PhDr.Karel Muller, was by the municipal council of the village Jakubčovice nad Odrou approved on 14th November 1997.
